The steward may have to stop the race to put the car back. If you have over 100 people who want to race at your Scalextric event you will need a 6 or 8 lane circuit. 4 lane circuits are better suited for events when fewer than 100 people want to race. To sum up If you do not want races to be competitive then go for a 6 or 8 lane racing circuit that is easy to drive around. A circuit in the shape of a figure 8 is perfect. If you want exciting and competitive races for 100+ people 6 or 8 lanes are good provided they have at least eight bends. But be aware of the problems if cars come off as it can disrupt the race. 4 lane racing circuits with at least eight bends gives you exciting and competitive races.
